¡Hola! My name is Leticia, I have lived in the USA since 1988. I am originally from beautiful Mexico City. I have a master’s in teaching Spanish as a second language from the University of Southern Oregon and a Bachelor’s in Communication from the University of Southern Maine. I taught Spanish to high school students for 22 years at Massabesic High School; I offered conversational Spanish in local Adult Education programs for over 10 years; I taught two courses of Medical Spanish at the University of New England as an adjunct professor in 2007 and 2008 and I am currently offering online Spanish tutoring with flexible rates and schedules.

My approach to teaching is to provide as much comprehensible input as possible, meaning that I do not concentrate on the mechanics of the language(i.e., memorization of grammar rules and verb conjugation) but rather on the use of the language for comprehension and retention. However, when a grammar explanation is necessary or requested by the student, it will be covered, as well.
